New Air Pacific Communication Chief

Nadi, FIJI — Fiji’s National carrier Air Pacific today announced the appointment of Shane Hussein as its Manager – Public Relations and Communications.
A former Fiji Television journalist, Mr Hussein joins Air Pacific from the Fiji Embassy of the United States of America in Suva where he was the Regional Media Affairs Specialist.
Air Pacific’s Managing Director & CEO, Mr Dave Pflieger said Mr Hussein’s appointment shows the importance the company places on communication and engagement with Fiji, Air Pacific employees as well as all of its external partners.
“Shane is joining Air Pacific at a time when we are undergoing massive restructuring and change, so internal and external communication with all our stakeholders in Fiji and abroad is essential.
“Shane has outstanding qualifications and experience as a media and communications specialist, and we are excited to have him join the Air Pacific team.”
Originally from Sigatoka, Mr Hussein holds a Bachelors degree in journalism, management and public administration from the University of the South Pacific, and he is completing a post graduate diploma in journalism with USP.
Mr Hussein will start work with Air Pacific on 15 August and he will be replacing the airline’s external media consultant, Samisoni Pareti.
