Hukuru Miskiiy, a famed place of worship

This magnificent monument has the distinction of being the oldest existing mosque in the nation, having been constructed as far back as 1656; it was built during the rule of Sultan Ibrahim Iskandhar I. The roofs, doors and window frames of the mosque are made of fine woods such as sandalwood, teak and redwood.
